The character of Jyeshtha
Jyeshtha, the eldest, is Indra's mansion — seniority, vigilance and the burden of rule. Tikshna (sharp) by class, it is reserved for works of authority, protection and sharp dealing; tender beginnings are steered elsewhere. The umbrella symbol is the king's burden: to shelter all beneath it.
