For every day, Bela's engine scans all 16 choghadiya windows and keeps the best one that clears the classical electional rules: Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Durmuhurtam, a rahita Panchaka, a nakshatra suited to the activity, a non-rikta tithi, and no Vyatipata/Vaidhriti yoga. The window's strength is mapped to a 0–100 score — the full rule list is shown under every date.
Why are only the top 3 dates free?
The top three prove the engine's value: real dates, real windows, real rules. The remaining dates of the month, and — more importantly — windows screened against your own birth chart (Tara Bala and Chandra Bala) are what the Bela app adds.
Are these timings valid in my city?
Dates are computed for Delhi (IST) as the national reference and are valid across India; the exact window shifts by a few minutes with local sunrise. For a precisely local window, check your city's panchang page or the app, which recomputes for your exact location.
Does the finder use my kundli (birth chart)?
No — and no honest generic list can. These dates clear the universal panchang-shuddhi rules only. Tara Bala and Chandra Bala, which judge the day's Moon against your birth star, need your chart; the app applies both to every window for your whole family.
Why does my chosen month show no dates?
Some months lose every date to classical prohibitions — Chaturmas, Kharmas and Adhik Maasa for marriage and griha pravesh — or to long stretches of rikta tithis and harsh yogas. Try a neighbouring month, or let the app's personalised Tara-Bala screening widen the net.
